The volume of the sculptural books werde creted by the artist within the last 22 years and in more than 40.000 working hours.

One could say that the artist has inscribed her life and soul into these books.

The whole volume is a gesamtkunstwerk, meant by Li Silberberg to be kept as a whole.
The public library which will own Bibliothek as an unique art installation amidst its architecture and book collection will have a beautiful metaphore of the acquisation of knowledge, its communication and preservation.
