On occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Werkstättengalerie of Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau (Dresden) many artworks by the artists, who were given a solo exhibition over the years, will be displayed in the exhibition Marking Time. 25 Years of Werkstättengalerie.
Colin Ardley is responsible for the curation of the exhibition programs since its beginning. He will include in this anniversary show works by the gallery artists Dittmar Krüger, Susanne Knaack, Dirk Rathke, Ursula Sax and Marc von der Hocht:
Opening: Wednesday August 21, 7.30 pm. Introduction: Jan Maruhn, art historian and head of Berliner Bildhauerwerkstatt /Berlin Sculptor’s Work Shop.
The Werkstättengalerie is a wonderful example how a company is convincingly intergrating Fine Art in its company culture. Congratulations for your 25th anniversary!

Gallery break

Due to the forthcoming renovation of the building in Schröderstraße 1 imposed onto the tenants by Berggruen Holding the gallery is forced to close its gates for a longer period of time. The gallery will reopen at the latest on August 30th, 2019, for the opening of the exhibition of Ursula Sax – Tanz in den Raum: Das Geometrische Ballett und andere performative Projekte / Dancing into Space – The Geometrical Ballet and other Performance Projects, in parallel with the premiere of the restaging of her stage play on September 6th at Radialsystem Berlin.
We were ending our exhibition program with the show 48 hrs with works by all gallery artists. Press release
